All riders must get themselves to Goleta. For those of you taking the train here is some good
information:
Beginning June 1, 2013, bike reservations are required on the Pacific Surfliner. The reservation fee is
$5.00 per travel segment and may be booked at Amtrak.com by clicking the “Add Bike to Trip” tab after
selecting your departure and class of service. Passengers are required to properly secure bicycles in
bike racks. Book early as reserved bike space is limited and may not be available on all trains or

This will be the 3rd Santa Barbara 200 ride. The ride will take place on July 12, 2013. Every year it
just becomes more fun. As much fun as it is, it is also very challenging. Use the time from now until
then to get as much training in as you can.
This is not a race, however will try and keep a descent pace so that we get back to Oceanside in good
time. This is intended to be a fun ride and no one will be left behind.
Be sure you have a light. The ride will start between 4am and 5am and we maybe riding into the
evening. See below for the a packing list.
SAG has been confirmed. I am asking that everyone pitch in a small donation (around $30) to help
cover the SAG cost .
Suggested Packing List:
All basic bike gear.
Front and Rear Light
At least 2 spare tubes
A pump and/or 2 or 3 CO2 cartridges
Just in case you may want to bring some light-weight rain gear.
We will have food on the SAG vehicle but please bring your own energy supply as well.
Keep your overnight bag small and light. All bags will be put in the SAG vehicle for the return trip.
